Meet Our Growers
Founded in 1984 on a 2½ acre raspberry farm by Drew & Myra Goodman, Earthbound Farm’s organic farmers work with Mother Nature. That means growing the best tasting greens, fruits and vegetables without GMOs, toxic and persistent chemicals, or synthetic fertilizers. By farming organically, Earthbound Farm helps protect the health of people and the planet. In 2014 alone, our organic farming kept 16½ million pounds of conventional agricultural chemicals out of the air, water and food supply. Now owned by WhiteWave Foods, Earthbound Farm maintains its mission: to bring the benefits of organic food to as many people as possible and serve as a catalyst for positive change.
Earthbound Farm has been farming organically for more than 30 years, converting thousands of acres from conventional to organic farming along the way. All of Earthbound Farm’s clamshell packages are made from 100% post-consumer recycled plastic, which uses 90% fewer resources than virgin plastic and keeps tons of plastic out of landfills every year.
in 1986, Earthbound Farm was the first company to successfully launch packaged salads for retail sale. Their first “processing plant” was a small assembly line made up of family members in Drew & Myra Goodman’s living room.
