Patience Fruit & Co was founded in 2000. Located in Notre-Dame-de-Lourdes, Quebec, Canada, the area offers ideal growing conditions and excellent sandy, acidic soil on which cranberries thrive. From inception, the founders have practiced organic farming, using no chemical fertilizers or pesticides.

Patience cranberries are harvested when they are fully grown and the color is bright red, which is when their polyphenol level is highest. They then apply a unique drying process that occurs slowly, following the rhythm of nature. This preserves the cranberries’ flavor and nutritional benefits while maintaining a soft texture. As a result, Patience berries are larger, softer, tastier, and healthier than many other cranberries.

The farm also strives to reduce their ecological footprint through measures such as using a “closed circuit” watering system, in which rainwater and snowmelt are collected in a drainage basin and then used to irrigate the fields.
