Whitney Ranch is a certified organic 5.5-acre family farm located in Carpinteria, California. Owned by Ralph and Rachel Whitney and their son Eric, they have been in operation since 2001. Whitney Ranch was one of the first blueberry growers in Santa Barbara County! Located on the Central Coast a short distance from the Pacific Ocean, Carpinteria has mild weather that allows blueberries to ripen over a longer period of time and develop a more complex flavor. Whitney Ranch grows over twelve varieties of delicious blueberries and does all blueberry production and harvesting by hand. They are well known for their blueberries, but also grow Meyer lemons. VV is proud to partner with growers like Whitney Ranch who are dedicated to keeping their practices as natural as possible; they never use pesticides and even make their own compost tea!
