Blossom Hill is located in Patterson, in the San Joaquin Valley of central California, and has been owned by the Lucich family for over 100 years!

In 1917, Louis Lucich started growing apricots and prunes in the Santa Clara Valley (now known as Silicon Valley). In 1959 his son, Nick, moved the farm and family to Patterson, California after realizing what a special climate the Patterson area offered. Because of its sheltered Mediterranean climate and well-drained soils, the Patterson area is known for producing delicious apricots and cherries, even giving a well-known apricot variety its name.  One of Nick’s innovations was his passion for matching the soil, climate and fruit variety to produce high quality fruit early in the season, earlier than other regions of California. His love of trees brought the whole family to embrace sustainable and, eventually, organic practices.

Fun Fact: In its own little “banana-belt,” the Patterson community considers their region the “Apricot Capital of the World!”

Today, Blossom Hill is co-owned by Pete Lucich and his brother-in-law Dave Santos with Jim Lucich heading up Sales. The farm grows and ships both organic and non-organic apricot and aprium. The combination of the farm’s unique location and the family’s four generations of orchard experience produce wonderfully sweet and juicy fruit with fabulous flavor.

Super Fun Fact: Nick Lucich’s grandson, also named Nick, owns Delta Organics—one of VV’s premier cherry suppliers!

Apricots: Patterson, Kylese, Tastyrich, Poppy, Tomcot, Gold Bar and many other varieties.
