Bouchey
Wapato, WashingtonBouchey Potatoes is a third-generation organic potato grower and shipper near Wapato, Washington, on the northeastern edge of the Yakima Valley. Bouchey grows a diverse range of organic potatoes with a focus on high flavor specialty varieties. The farm prioritizes quality first and foremost, often harvesting potatoes for orders the day they are placed! The quick turn from ground to packing ensures maximum taste and quality. Their growing season runs from mid-July to the end of September.
The Bouchey and St. Hilaire families began their farming journey in the lower Yakima Valley three generations ago. A neighboring family, already cultivating Yukon Gold potatoes, played a pivotal role in helping the Boucheys start their own potato production. Over the next decade, they refined their expertise in growing potatoes while also managing crops like mint, grapes, alfalfa, and wheat. In the mid-1990s, Jody Bouchey led the charge in growing organic potatoes for the farm for the first time—initiating the start of their organic program. From there, the Boucheys began focusing on growing specialty varieties and have never looked back.
