Since then, he’s built a reputation around growing organic, premium onions with a focus on responsibility, quality, and integrity.
Today, Peri & Sons Farms harvests over 400 million pounds of white, red, yellow, and sweet onions throughout the USA and globally. To meet year-round demand, David Peri expanded operations to California, where he oversees seed selection and sowing, proprietary, environmentally-friendly techniques for watering and nurturing crops, and hand-harvesting and hand-grading, which set them a cut above most onion grower-packers.
Peri & Sons Farms is the first recipient of SCS Global’s Sustainably Grown certification for domestic onions. We look forward to many environmental and social innovations from them in the future.
Fun Fact: despite their company name, the sisters and nieces of the family actually run the operation and marketing efforts these days!
